Do I have to pay a deposit?
A deposit is required only for the Chalet Biohaus. However, you are welcome to transfer a part or the total amount to us in advance. No deposit is required for rooms or suites. More about the rooms.

Can I cancel free of charge?
If you book directly with us, you have no risk. In case of cancellation, you will not be charged. If for whatever reason you are unable to arrive, or if something changes, please contact us right away and we will try to find a solution together. Possibly the holidays can be shortened or postponed. Any deposits made will remain as a credit for the next trip. Please contact us right away. More about the rooms.

When do I pay for the holidays?
You can conveniently pay on the spot. A deposit is required only for the bio house. However, you are welcome to transfer a part or the total amount to us in advance. The rest of the payment is made on the spot with cash or card. If you pay with cash on the spot upon arrival, you will receive a 2% discount on the room rate. More about the rooms.

What does "Best Price Guarantee" mean?
At the Glocknerhof you can be sure that you will always get the best price when booking directly. In addition, you have a wider choice of rooms, you do not need to pay a deposit, you can cancel free of charge and if you pay with cash you will receive a 2% discount. When should I book the holidays?
In principle, you can book at the Glocknerhof at any time. Rooms may still be available even at short notice. If you already have a holidays, it is best to book now. Cancellation or rebooking would be possible free of charge. The earlier you are on, the better room requests can be accommodated. The hotel is busier during holiday periods and extended weekends. We will be happy to advise you.

From when is the check-in possible?
Check-in is possible from 2 pm. Usually the rooms are ready a little earlier. Check-out is until 10 am.

What is the best way to travel?
At the Glocknerhof you can arrive by car, train, bike, plane or on foot. Pick up from the train station is possible. More information on how to get there.

When are the meal times?
- Breakfast: 7 – 9.30
- Lunch: 12 – 13 h
- Cake in the afternoon: 14 – 17 h

Are there gluten-free/lactose-free dishes?
The kitchen can cater for food intolerances. Parts of the menu can be omitted or alternative dishes can be prepared. If you suffer from food intolerances, please let us know in advance. Vegan cuisine is not offered.
Weekly program

When does the weekly program take place?
Our weekly program (go-karting, archery, Senso hike,…) takes place from Monday to Friday. On which day the individual program points take place varies from week to week. If you want to participate in everything once, it is best to spend a week or longer at the Glocknerhof.

Is the weekly program free of charge?
The weekly program of the Glocknerhof (go-karting, archery, Senso hike, model trial flight) is free of charge. The visit of Ebnerbichl with pony riding and petting animals costs € 10,– (food contribution for the animals).
The weekly program from the village is partly free of charge. The weekly program of various sports providers (Drausport, Fit & Fun, etc.) is for a fee.
Model Flying

What are the requirements for model flying?
For model flying in Austria you need 3 things:
- Liability insurance for model flight
- EU Certificate of Competence A1/A3
- Registration number
You can get all three of these things relatively easily and quickly. More info at the rules for model flying.

What is allowed to fly at the Glocknerhof?
Remote-controlled gliders, motorized planes, helicopters and drones may be flown.

- up to 500 m height above ground
- up to 125 kg take-off weight
- Children from 12 years are allowed to fly alone
- with smoke cartridges, dropping objects
Slope soaring area Rottenstein
- up to 120 m height above the pilot
- up to 10 kg take-off weight
- Children from 16 years are allowed to fly alone
Model airfield Amlach in Greifenburg
- up to 120 m height above ground
- up to 25 kg take-off weight
- Children from 16 years are allowed to fly alone

Model flight school

When does the flight course start?
Flight courses are always held Monday through Friday in the morning and afternoon. Courses start on Mondays. Please plan to arrive by Sunday evening. The timing will be determined by the flight instructor at short notice. More about the model flight school

Which control mode is flown?
In the model flight school any control mode is possible. No matter if you want to fly with mode 1, 2, 3 or 4, with console transmitter or handheld transmitter, the flight instructor will set everything up correctly for you. Beginners without preferences are taught with mode 1 or 2. More about the model flight school.

Do I need to bring airplanes?
Within the flight school you do not need to worry about anything. Everything is provided: Airplanes/helicopters, remote controls, batteries. Student pilots are also insured through the hotel during lessons and do not bear any risk.
For certain flight courses and private lessons, you may/should bring your own aircraft and use it at the instructor’s discretion. The risk is borne by the student pilot.
