Included in the price:
Daily rates in euros, based on occupancy and season, include WIFI, parking at the accommodation, a ski bus to the Emberger Alm (with the purchase of a ski pass), and a regional guest card that includes free train travel (S-Bahn) throughout Carinthia as far as Lienz.
All additional costs are included in the price: heating, electricity, wood for the tiled stove, TV, internet, bed linens, towels, washing machine, dryer, fully equipped kitchen, taxes, local tax, and final cleaning.
Meals at the hotel and hotel services are NOT included in the base price but can be booked separately if desired.

Experience an extraordinary stay in a lovingly restored 13th-century church. Surrounded by the ancient oak trees of the Aichholz and offering unobstructed views of the meadows of the Berger Moos, “Das Jakob” impressively combines the grandeur of a sacred space with uncompromising Komfort. The property offers flexible sleeping arrangements and plenty of space for 2 to 10 people.
The spacious ground floor is wheelchair-accessible. It welcomes you with stately natural stone walls, a large dining table beneath the historic arched opening, and a fireplace lounge featuring a cozy tiled stove. The double sofa bed provides a full-size sleeping area for two people and pairs perfectly with the accessible bathroom on the same level. An architectural highlight is the culinary center in the former apse: a kitchen island staged like an altar, equipped with high-end appliances from Miele and Liebherr.
The upper floor features two exclusive sleeping areas with access to the balcony. The spacious master bedroom looks directly down into the apse and, in addition to the double bed, offers a comfortable double sofa bed for two additional guests, as well as a spacious en suite bathroom with a freestanding designer bathtub and shower. The unique tower bedroom is a duplex spanning two levels, featuring a double bed downstairs and two versatile single beds on the charming loft.
Outside, a private premium terrace with sun loungers and a hanging basket awaits you—the perfect spot for absolute tranquility, relaxation, yoga, and complete leisure (Otium).
Generally, “Das Jakob” is booked without meals and independently of the Hotel Glocknerhof. If desired, you can add meals at the restaurant as well as hotel services from the Glocknerhof to your reservation.

Location of the holiday home
The house is located on a plateau at an elevation of 610 meters above sea level, right next to the meadows of Berger Moos, about 500 meters from the Hotel Glocknerhof, and is easily accessible by car in any season. Access is via a paved road south of the B100.
The center of the town of Berg im Drautal is just 1 km away. There you’ll find everything you need for daily life: a supermarket, a bank, a tourist information office, a gas station, an auto repair shop, and the Berg im Drautal train station. The nearest bus stop for the Postbus shuttle is “Berg im Drautal – Lassin (OD 1015),” just 100 m away.
During winters with heavy snowfall, the cross-country ski trail runs right past the vacation home. Otherwise, the trailheads are located at St. Athanas Church, at the Berg im Drautal train station, at the Emberger Alm, and on the southern shore of Lake Weissensee. As guests, you have exclusive use of the entire house, including the outdoor area. There are no other guests on the property.

- The Fireplace Lounge: A modern, white tiled stove with a viewing window provides cozy warmth. Opulent, velvety-red vintage furniture offers the perfect retreat for complete relaxation.
- From here, the cantilevered wooden staircase with minimalist steel struts leads elegantly to the upper floor.
The sleeping areas: Exclusive retreats with sweeping views: The upper floor welcomes you with warm solid oak elements and two luxurious sleeping areas, each with its own bathroom and a shared balcony:
- The master bedroom (en suite): A retreat featuring a double bed, a double sofa, a desk, and a seating area. A visual highlight is the panoramic window offering a direct view down into the historic apse (kitchen). The adjoining bathroom features double sinks, a walk-in glass shower, and a freestanding designer bathtub.
- The Tower Bedroom (maisonette): A charming space spanning two levels. The lower level features a comfortable double bed and a modern bathroom with a shower and toilet. An open wooden staircase leads to the second-floor loft, which offers two versatile single beds and a workspace—making it the ideal space for sleeping or working.
The Outdoor Area: A Prime Spot in the Aichholz: Nestled in nature and surrounded by the majestic oak trees of the Aichholz—from which it takes its name—the estate offers absolute tranquility and spectacular lighting design at night:
- Premium Terrace: Relax on high-quality lounge chairs, in a cozy hanging chair, and under a parasol. The ideal spot for yoga and finding your inner peace.

Prices
Daily rates for the house vary depending on the season and the number of guests (2 to 10 people). The minimum stay is 4 nights; during the Christmas holidays, it is 7 nights. Children receive a discount for groups of 4 or more. Please feel free to send us an inquiry.
Payment
A deposit of 25% of the total price is due at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be paid in advance 4 weeks before arrival or in cash upon arrival. If you pay in cash upon arrival, you will receive a 2% discount.
Cancellation: Cancellation is free of charge. The deposit will be refunded if cancellation occurs more than 1 month before arrival and will be retained if cancellation occurs less than 1 month before arrival.
