Fantastic cross country ski trails in front of the hotel

The entrance to the Drautal cross-country ski trail is located directly below the hotel. The trail is perfectly groomed for classic cross-country skiing and skating. The trail leads past the St. Athanasius Church and the Drava floodplains to the neighboring village of Greifenburg. Or try your hand on the idyllic cross-country ski trail in Naggl at Weissensee and on the snow-sure high-altitude trail on the Emberger Alm.

The equipment

Classic cross-country skiing equipment is available for you free of charge at the hotel. You are welcome to bring your own equipment and store it at the hotel. Equipment for skating can be rented from the sports provider on site.

Cross country skiing with trainer

All beginnings are difficult, but with the right support at least the technique is right from the start. Of course, you can also try your first cross-country skiing without help. We recommend booking one hour of cross-country skiing training at the local sports school at the beginning.

Cross country skiing – an experience in nature

The valley floor in the Drau Valley is almost unobstructed. You walk through the magical winter landscape past hoarfrost forests and enjoy the winter silence. Glide along and take in our beautiful mountain panorama. You might even spot a deer or a brown hare.

Upon your return, a relaxing soak in the jacuzzi awaits you in the spa area before enjoying dinner in the restaurant. Let the day end comfortably at the bar and the open fireplace.

Cross-country skiing trails in the National Park region

Run the most beautiful cross-country trails in Upper Carinthia. Equal to 10 km of sunny trails below the hotel, just as many kilometers on the nature park trail around the biathlon center at Weissensee. Particularly recommended is the trail in Naggl, south of Weissensee.

And if the snow in the Drau Valley doesn’t really want to play along, then it’s off to the high-altitude cross-country ski trail on the Emberger Alm. Recently, there is a snow-covered circular trail in Lavant, very close by.
