1. Emberger Alm – the family ski area
Ideal when it comes to families with small children, ski courses or undisturbed enjoyment in nature. With four lifts, it is manageable and attractively priced. The Emberger Alm is also an ideal starting point for ski tours and snowshoe hikes. To the Emberger Alm you can go by car or with the free ski bus directly from the hotel.

2. Lake Weissensee – ski & ice skating
Quickly accessible, four lifts (including one chairlift), attractively priced and best combined with a toboggan run on the natural toboggan run, a walk to the Naggler Alm, ice skating on the Weissensee and other ice sports.

3. Lienz: Zettersfeld and Hochstein
Easy to reach, chairlifts and gondolas, cheap day tickets for our guests (please ask at the reception). In Lienz there are two ski areas, both of which can be skied with only one ski pass: Zettersfeld with wide sunny slopes (top conditions until the end of February) and Hochstein with north-facing valley run, steep and challenging.

Ski courses Emberger Alm

No matter what you want to learn, Waltraud Sattlegger from the Drausport sports school is the right person to contact: skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, ski touring and snowshoeing for beginners and advanced skiers. Children as well as adults are well taken care of. Rentals are available in the store in Greifenburg and on the Alm.

Drausport – The ski school for families
Friendly ski instructors take the best care of the big and the small. The lessons take place on the Emberger Alm and at small skilifts in the valley. Take advantage of the free ski bus. During the holidays periods, children’s ski courses are also offered at the small ski lift directly in the village center. The small slope is also good for sledding and playing in the snow.

The Goldeck is a real snow park, with over 33 km of perfectly groomed slopes of all levels of difficulty and 8 lifts, the area ensures perfect winter sports fun. Deep snowy slopes and 50 hectares of freeride area with excellent panorama make the heart of every winter sports enthusiast beat faster. As another highlight, the Goldeck sports mountain offers the longest black run in the Alps, 8.5 km long. Approximately 1,600 meters of altitude are overcome on very demanding terrain. Easily and quickly accessible via the A10 Tauern freeway, 70 kilometers of slopes, 16 state-of-the-art lifts and cozy ski huts await you. Guaranteed snow is guaranteed by the location on the main ridge of the Tauern and the most modern snow-making facilities, which cover 100 percent of the slopes. On up to ten kilometers long descents you can reach St. Michael. The majority of the descents are easy to moderate. For advanced winter sports enthusiasts there are 10 kilometers of black slopes. 7. Mölltaler Gletscher – Carinthia's glacier

Mölltaler Gletscher and Ankogel are the highest and most snow-sure ski mountains in Carinthia. The panoramic view of about 30 three-thousand-meter peaks of the Hohe Tauern is unique. Carinthia's only glacier ski area opens in September/October and runs into the summer. Even if it should be warmer in winter, on the glacier the snow always fits.

8. Sillian

The Alta Pusteria Ski Center

On more than 20 kilometers of slopes, every skier from beginner to professional can have fun here. There are slopes of all difficulty levels, gondola lift, chair lifts, drag lifts and practice drag lifts for beginners. As in all other major ski resorts, Alta Pusteria also offers snowmaking facilities down to the valley and also a snow park at 2,200 m.
